Out of nowhere, it seems, Nike has released the Mercurial Vapor Superfly II! The SuperFly II is without a doubt the most advanced cleat currently on the market and boasts Nike_Mercurial Vapor SuperFly IIsome attractive new features. Nike went with a design that suited players like Cristiano Ronaldo and Zlatan Ibrahimovich, listening to what they needed as players. With that information, they focused on creating a light cleat that increased acceleration when trying to move around opposing players. They added swivel studs, that move an approximate 3mm depending on the surface. This allows for better reaction and acceleration when moving at speed. The cleat comes in a pretty bold Ultra Violet color, designed to be more visible on the pitch (to me this is just asking for trouble!) On a side note, I noticed the technology seems to mimic Lotto’s Twist’n Go design. Expect to see the Vapor SuperFly II hit markets in early April.
