After one of the more uninteresting first-half performances seen in a while, the US Men’s National team produced an encouraging second half that will leave Jurgen Klinsmann with plenty of optimism after his debut game. The final score of against Mexico finished 1-1.
The US went into half-time 1-0 down and with 0 shots taken – not very positive. Klinsmann in his half time interview, stated he was extremely happy with how the team were playing. But it is the second half display (Brek Shea, Juan Agudelo and Robbie Rogers in particular) that leaves the US with plenty of confidence in their latest building process with a world class coach! His tweaks in the second half really changed the dynamics of the game.
Robbie Rogers got the US goal with his first touch, helping erase a brilliant strike from Mexico’s Oribe Peralta in the 17th minute of the game.
