Fabio Capello’s disrespectful announcement that David Beckham would only appear in one more international match for England just to say “bye bye” has sickened the Former Three Lions Captain. Beckham only learned of the news while watching the England v Hungary friendly on Wednesday night at home in LA. Surely a phone call from Capello telling the ex-England captain that he was not part of his future England plans would have been more respectful to a player who put everything on the line while playing for his Country.
Here’s a look back at some of Beckham’s glorious moments while in an England Shirt.

England Debut: Glenn Hoddle gave David Beckham his first Senior England cap on Sept. 1 1996 in a World Cup qualifier against Moldova, which they won comfortably 3-0. It was Glenn Hoddle’s first game in charge of England and also Alan Shearer’s first game as England Captain.
First England Goal: Beckham’s first goal for England came in the 1998 World Cup Finals against Colombia, with a trade-mark free-kick, it was his first appearance in the World Cup having being left out of the first two Group games by Glenn Hoddle who believed Beckham wasn’t fully focused on the tournament. What a way to prove your boss wrong eh!
Greece Oct.6 2001: England needed at least a point from their final game against Greece to automatically qualify for the 2002 World Cup Finals. Greece lead 2-1 with time nearly up in the game when Teddy Sheringham was fouled at the edge of the Greece 18 yard Box, Beckham stepped up to take the free-kick and dispatched it in the top corner of the Greek net as the Captain had got his Country to the 2002 World Cup Finals.
Argentina 2002: After being sent-off in the previous Finals against Argentina, Beckham got his revenge scoring from the spot as England beat Argentina 1-0 , sending the Argentine’s home in the First Round of the Tournament.
Ecuador 2006: Beckham became England’s first player to score in three different World Cup Finals, scoring one of his trademark free-kicks against Ecuador in the Second Round of the 2006 World Cup Finals, England won 1-0.
100 Caps: Beckham became only the fifth Englishman to win 100 Caps, when he was recalled to the squad by Fabio Capello in a March Friendly against France.
Last Cap: Beckham’s last Cap came against Belarus as a substitute in a World Cup Qualifier which England won 3-0.
