Blackpool Taken to Court by Club Captain Charlie Adam
Blackpool captain Charlie Adam is taken his club to Court in a row over unpaid bonuses.
Adam who joined the Tangerines from Rangers in 2009, claims he is owed £20,000 as part of his contract in which Blackpool promise the midfielder if the club escaped relegation from from the Championship last season.
Blackpool went up to the EPL via the play-offs last year after being touted as favourites for the drop last year. The squad shared a £5m bonus for their unexpected promotion the English top-flight football. But Adam maintains he is also owed the £20,000 also per agreement when he signed for the club in 2009.
Adam has been instrumental in Blackpool’s three wins this season which included a memorable win at Anfield and this wrangling over bonuses could see the midfielder leave the club in January something current boss Ian Holloway can ill afford at the moment.

He is an outstanding prospect and I’m sorry to lose him but it’s a great move for him and excellent business for the football club.”

Phillips will hope to follow in the footsteps of Wycombe legend winger Steve Guppywho played will the Chairboys from 1989-94 before going on to win a League Cup Medal with Leicester in 2000 and a Scottish Premier League medal with Glasgow Giants Celtic in 2001-02.
Guppy also gained one cap for England, in 1999 against Belgium, not bad for a player who was a virtual unknown until his exploits with Wycombe.
