However just like the first, Liverpool shot themselves in the foot with Skrtel handing Tevez the equaliser for City with ten minutes left on the clock. Liverpool should have had a penalty when 2-1 up after Glenn Johnson was blatantly fouled in the City box however the Referee point blankly dismissed the foul as City again came back to claim a draw in the jaws of defeat.
