With Germany, Italy, Holland, England, Spain and hosts Poland and Ukraine already qualified their are still 9 places remaining in the Euro 2012 Finals, so which teams have their own destiny in their own hands and who have to rely on others to keep their Euro 2012 dreams alive.
Group D
Group D is relatively straight forward, with France needing to avoid defeat to Bosnia & Herzogovina to top the group or Bosnia & Herzogovina will top the proceedings instead.
Group A
With Germany already through to the finals with a 100% record thus far the final play-off spot will be fought out between Belgium and Turkey with Belgium holding their own destiny in their own hands, however Belgium have to travel to Germany on the final day, while the Turks will be hosting Azerbaijan who beat them 1-0 at home. Turkey will only grab the final play-off spot if they can better Belgium’s scoreline against the Germans.
Group B
Group B is still wide open with Russia favourites to top the group. Russia hold a two point lead over the Rep of Ireland going into the final set of games with Armenia another point adrift and with Russia facing whipping boy’s Andorra in their final game it looks as if both the Republic and Armenia are facing a play-off of their own with the Republic needing to avoid defeat at the Aviva to claim a play-off spot.
Group C
Italy have already progressed to the Euro 2012 Finals, so it will be between surprise packages Estonia or Serbia who pick up the final play-off spot. However with Estonia already finished their campaign they will have to hope Slovenia avoid defeat against Serbia to gain their play-off spot.
Group E
Holland have already progressed with a 100% record thus far and Sweden have gained the play-off spot irrespectful of the final day results having had a better head to head to rivals Hungary who are third.
Group F
Greece hold the key in this one needing just a point away to Georgia on the final day, a loss would mean a win for Croatia against Latvia would see the Croat’s top the group instead.
Group G
Another straight forward group with England already through to the finals and Montenegro through to the play-offs.
Group H
Group H is finely poised with Denmark and Portugal level on 16 points with Norway looking to punish any slip ups in third, three points adrift. With Denmark hosting Portugal on the final day and Norway at home to Cyprus a draw between the top pair is the only result the Norwegians don’t want but they will have their hands full themselves against the unpredictable Cypriots.
Group I
Spain are already through with a 100% record thus far but Scotland will hope to end that record with a win in Spain on Tuesday which would see the Scots pip the Czech Rep for the play-off spot, a draw for the Czech’s and a Scotland defeat would see the Czech’s through as they have a better head to head against the Scots.
