Manchester United could be without 8 senior players for their Champions League clash with Basle Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
Wayne Rooney and Javier Hernandez are definitely out, Rooney with a hamstring injury and Hernandez with a dead leg picked up in United’s 1-1 draw with Stoke at the week-end.
United will also be without long term absentees Tom Cleverley (foot_ Darren Gibson (ankle) and Rafael (shoulder) while fellow defenders Nemanja Vidic (calf), Chris Smalling (groin) and Jonny Evans (ankle) sat out training today, meaning United have little cover despite a great start to the season with Fergie’s famous rotation system.
