Manchester City CEO Garry Cook has resigned his post at the club following his shameful e-mail which mocked defender Nedum Onuoha’s terminally ill Mother.
The e-mail was addressed to City’s director of football Brian Marwood but was sent presumably by mistake to Dr. Onuoha who has being diagnosed with cancer.
She was stunned to receive an e-mail from Cook, which mocked her use of the phrase “ravaged with it” to describe her condition, while jokingly accusing former footballer and pundit Marwood of no longer being the “nice man” Cook worked with at Nike.
“When I opened up my e-mails and saw the message, it was the worst day of my life, even worse than being diagnosed with cancer.”
“I couldn’t understand how anyone could behave like that. I’m critically ill.
“I cried and cried for hours.”Dr Onuoha told the press.
