Blackburn Rovers came from behind twice to beat Arsenal 4-3 at Ewood Park today in a pulsating seven goal thriller.
Gervinho gave the Gunners the lead in the 10th minute in his first EPL game back from suspension, before Blackburn striker Yakubu scored his first of two 15 minutes later, however Yakubu’s former Everton team-mate Mikel Arteta was to have the last say of the first half with his first Gunners goal giving his side a half-time lead.
Whatever under-fire boss Kevin Kean said to his troops at half-time seemed to have worked as the home side raced into a 4-1 second-half lead with two own goals by Alex Song and Laurent Koscielny sandwiched between a second goal from Yakubu giving the home side an un-asailable lead, Mauroane Chamakh grabbed a consolation goal for the Gunners 5 minutes from the end but there was no denying Blackburn all three points in this pulsating 7 goal thriller.
