England’s friendly against Holland at Wembley on Wednesday night has been called off as the London rioting intensified last night.
With the City in flames overnight and gangs taking a stronghold of large sections of the capital and Police resources stretched to their limit, the FA have made the right call on cancelling the much anticipated clash.
West Ham’s Carling Cup game against Aldershot to-night is also off, as is Carlton v Reading and Crystal Palace v Crawley, Tottenham’s EPL opener against Everton is also a major doubt on Saturday as there seems to be no end to the stand-off in London.
