Triple World Champion and Worl record holder Usain Bolt lost his World 100m crown last night after he was disqualified for a false start.
It’s the first time in a major championship the zero tolerance false start rule has been used and it denied a capacity crowd seeing Bolt go for his fourth title.
Bolt’s compatriot Yohan Blake won the restarted race in a time of 9.92 seconds with American Walter Dix second and Kim Collins third, however the race will be more remembered for a disgusted Usain Bolt ripping his shirt off after his false start than the actual race itself.
