Arsenal progressed to the Champions League proper for the 14th consecutive season with a hard fought 2-1 win over Serie A side Udinese in Italy to-night.
However it wasn’t all plain sailing for the Gunners who fell behind to a looping Di Natale header 6 minutes before half-time. Arsenal came out much brighter in the second half and were rewarded when Gervinho set up strike partner Robin Van Persie for that priceless away goal, before Theo Walcott rapped up the tie with 20 minutes left on the clock, but it was keeper Wosciech Szczesny who deserves all the plaudits after making an outstanding penalty save from Di Natale in the 59th minute.
