Sporting Intelligence have released figures for last season’s EPL Top 10 replica shirt sales, with Wayne Rooney despite his off field troubles pipping Fernando Torres for the honour.
Fernando Torres lost his top spot from the previous two seasons with his shirt now a Chelsea one, Torres former team-mate Steven Gerrard dropped to third, while United striker Chicarito was a new entry at four, Robin Van Persie re-entered the top ten for the first time since the 2007/08 season.
Chelsea team-mates Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba were sixth and seventh respectively, while Luis Suarez was seventh after his January move to Anfield, Andrei Arshavin dropped four places to ninth and Ryan Giggs broke into the top 10 for the first time despite his marital problems.
