An amateur Italian footballer who was sent off for abusing a referee and then grabbing the official by the neck while using his hand to push the officials whistle down his throat has been banned for just 20 months.
Andrea Biondi who play’s with Abereta 72 in Florence saw red as his team drew 2-2. In our view it’s a lenient ban, he should have got life for this act of violence.
