This is probably one of my favorite times of year; summer is in full session and we the start of the new English Premier League is nearly upon us!
With that, one of the most entertaining games is on the verge of taking off and the challenge has been set to take on the best of the best! I am talking, of course, about the Premier League Fantasy soccer game! We are setting up an AttackingSoccer league for all to take part in, where you can of course compete with our team of writers. We will have also have a goody bag of prizes awaiting the winner of the league come the end of the season in May.
Last season over 2 million players took part in the game, making it the most competitive game around. Squad selection is of course the key to winning:

Squad selection
A manager may enter one Fantasy Premier League squad, multiple squads will be deleted. Squads must consist of:
- 2 Goalkeepers
- 5 Defenders
- 5 Midfielders
- 3 Forwards
You can select up to 3 players from any one team. If a player is transferred during the season and this transfer takes you over this limit, then you will need to go back under the limit when making your next transfers.
Each player has been given a value. The total value of your initial squad must not exceed £100 million. Here is a full list of rules for picking a squad.
