Puma have released an extremely beneficial new initiative to raise funds and awareness for Breast Cancer, named “Project Pink.” Last Saturday night, the Boston Breakers kicked things off in their pink jerseys, where they raised $7,025 by auctioning off the tops at half time.
Puma also have a really cool Twitter initiative that is currently live: for every tweet using the hash tag #projectpink through October 18, PUMA will donate an additional $1 to the Project Pink cause (one tweet per user per day), up to a maximum of $25,000.
Another way to give back is to get your hands on some Project Pink gear. Not only do you get the satisfaction of knowing that donate 100% of profits are being donated by Puma to the charity chosen by popular vote on their site (visit wps.pumafootball.com/projectpink for more info) but you are also buying quality apparel that looks great.
PUMA athlete Leslie Osborne gives the scoop on the initiative in the below video.
