German superstar Mesut Ozil could be on his way to Old Trafford after Werder Bremen general manager Klaus Allofs admitted they would consider any offers with Ozil having 12 months remaining on his contract.
it is a huge boast to Manchester United, who are seen as a likely suitors after Ozil’s excellent showing at this summers Wold Cup in South Africa. Sir Alex Ferguson would be the right man to nurture the young Germans talents, just as he did with Wayne Rooney and Cristiano Ronaldo. And with a knockdown price available, Fergie, who has stated he is very happy with his current squad of young players, knows it could be the right time to splash some money.
Another Werder Bremen star, Piotr Trochowski, also continues to be linked with the Old Trafford outfit. The midfielder has dropped down the pecking order at Bremen, but his experience could be an asset that Fergie sees as useful to his squad. Trochowski’s agent has refused to rule out a move to Old Trafford before the current transfer window closes.
