North Korea have been caught short with their World Cup squad, after they named striker Kim Myong-Won as a goalkeeper, thinking they could use him to bolster their attack for next weeks World Cup Finals.
But FIFA have told them that all squads must include three goalkeeper’s, and that those three player’s are prohibited from playing out-field.
And with the deadline for squads having passed,it looks like Kim Myong-Won will play no part in the North Koreans World Cup adventure after FIFA’s ruling on the matter.
Kim who has won 9 caps for North Korea, was picked to bolster their attack in a move which has spectacularly backfired on them, he has a phenomenal goalscoring record at club level scoring 98 goals in 112 games for his club Amrokgang.
Maybe be he could be used as a substitute with 5 mins remaining and they needing a goal, that would be interesting to see.
