Robbie Williams hosted his annual soccer-aid match last night for charity at Old Trafford last night and what entertainment it gave us all. Among the Soccerstars to take part were Zinedine Zidane, Teddy Sheringham, Alan Shearer, Jamie Redknapp and Henrik Larsson. But it was the non professionals who were the heroes. They game ended 2-2 with goals from Teddy Sheringham and Jamie Redknapp for England, while Joe Calzaghe and Sami Hyypia scoring for the Rest of the World team.
The penalty shoot-out was without doubt the most entertaining shoot-out ever seen with Patrick Kielty in goals for the Rest of the World team and Jamie Theakston in the England Goal. The hero of the Penalty shoot-out was Woody Harrelson who didn’t even know where to take his penalty from, with the referee having to show him where to place the ball, However he scored what was to be the winning penalty to give the Rest of the World team victory in this wonderful Fund-raising event. See all the Penalty’s below. Warning highly entertaining stuff.
