I think there is a huge lesson to be learned from this interview: get your facts straight before interviewing Roy Keane.
The man, the legend was interviewed this week about England exit from the World Cup and where it all went wrong. One thinking is for sure, if you decide to bring up a sore spot like the World Cup in 2002, where Keane left the Irish squad and returned home, you better know what you are talking about. The journalist also asks Keane why individually, players are performing at club level but not for the national team. And to that, Keane goes through the line-up pointing out the real weakness of the English team.
You have to love his demeanor, it kind of reminds me of Brian Clough in a way. I think my favorite line is “players get away with bloody murder!” Check out the full interview below.
