English website KnowYourMoney have taken a very interesting look at the economics of this summers World Cup finals in South Africa and produced a pretty sweet graph to illustrate it. As it turns out, half of the money needed goes towards stadiums and transport, with a total expense of $2.3 billion dollars. All in all, hosting the biggest tournament in the world is going to cost a whopping $3.5 billion! But, with so many people around the globe becoming exposed to the culture of South Africa, it is sure to pay dividends to the countries economy over proceeding years. Also, bear in mind how many fans are currently there to check out their team play, each is sure to be spending a lot of money on hotels, food and gifts giving the economy a welcome boost.
