It’s been reported that Scotland fans are cheekily buying up U.S.A. and Argentina shirts in defiance of the old enemy, for this Summer’s World Cup Finals in South Africa, with both shirts selling nearly two to one of England shirts in the U.K.
The Scot’s have also been buying up t-shirts branded A.B.E “Anyone but England” , with stores in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow selling the memorabilia. And they are said to be selling like hot-cakes throughout Scotland.
The t-shirts are supposedly a bit tongue in cheek banter from the Scot’s towards the English, but their have been many complaints made against their sale as they are said to be offensive a racist to English people.
In any-case the t-shirts are sure to be a big hit with the Scottish, Welsh and even the Irish fans, which won’t be too much of a surprise to England fans.
It’s also been estimated that fewer than half of the top 20 World Cup shirts being sold in the U.K are English, with Spain, Australia, Portugal, Ivory Coast and Holland shirts doing well.
